The Crater Building is a minor location found in the Great Metal Factory, appearing in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Lost Alpha standalone mod.

Overview

• A medium sized, derelict office building.
• The area is much different to its retail counter part.
• The radiation has been removed, the plants around the floor are gone and the amount of Springboard anomaly's inside (and around) the crater has been reduced, making this area much more easier to navigate now.
• 2 Pseudodogs can be found down the alley just before the BTR-70 Armored Personnel Carrier.
• Snorks may sometimes also wander into the area.

Storyline

• No storyline elements take place at this location.

Side Missions

• No side missions take place at this location.

Notable Loot

• x2 Antirads, x1 Bandage and x1 Medkit can be found on the edge of the crater at the back.
• The Train-car directly behind the rear entrance contains x1 Noiseless Pistol (PB1s) inside a destructible crate.
• The small hut next to the train car contains the following loot (found inside the up-turned table):
  • x2 Energy drinks
  • x1 Bandage
  • x1 Fort-12Mk2/Fora-12 (perfect condition)
• A disused, unusable BTR-70 Armored Personnel Carrier located just down the road has an unmarked stash inside it with the following items:
  • x1 Hunter PSZ-9d (Hunter PS5 in v1.4002)
  • x1 Medkit
  • x2 Alkaline batteries
  • The stash is located in the open compartment between the inner pair of wheels on the right side of the vehicle.
