Find mail jacket is a side mission given by Nimble. Though it is just called "Find the item" in the PDA.

Overview

The mission consists of two sub-task

• Find mail jacket
• Bring the customer what's been promised.

Find mail jacket

• Once you've completed Find the second contact you will have already picked this item up from one of the bandits located at the Old Factory.

Bring the customer what's been promised

• Just return the jacket to Nimble.

Notes

• (Mission may be reissued a second time)
• In v1.4002 the first sub-task was missing. Therefor the PDA did NOT update when you picked up the item. You still got a sound notification and a PDA icon in the left part of the screen.
• If you store the item in a container there will be a quest marker that looks like a purple briefcase showing it's position.
• The detailed task information states "Find and bring to Nimble rare instance of equipment".
• There is at least one other Mail jacket in the game that will satisfy Nimble.
• v1.4007: The item is no longer a Mail jacket (controlled by code 'outfit_bandit_m1') but a Double-mail jacket (controlled by code 'outfit_bandit_m2')
• The former is located on a rooftop of the same Bandit Camp where Hunter's Shotgun may be retrieved if that side mission is activated. It is accompanied by a Gas Mask and a Akm 74/2U special. (The copy in Bandit Mine is now a simple Bandit jacket)
• The Mail jacket is insufficient to satisfy the requirements of the side mission. The Double-mail jacket is only available from a victim at the Old Factory early in the game. NO other instance occurs on the board.
• Consequently, the reissued mission is an open failure (can't be completed)
• The workaround for this bug is a cheat that involves activating the LA: Tools Kit and using "SpawnObj" with 'outfit_bandit_m2' as the working parameter.
• The Double-mail jacket (or, to be correct, the bandit wearing the jacket) is on the board independent of Nimble having given the task or not.
