The Obokan/AC96/2 is an assault rifle that appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Lost Alpha and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Overview[]
- The weapon of the elite troops in the Russian army. It was designed as a replacement for the outdated Akm 74/2 . Not only the Obokan’s internal mechanisms but also its receiver and its barrel are movable, which decreases the recoil and increases accuracy.
- Used almost exclusively by the Military.
- It is one of most versatile assault rifles in the game. Due to it's ability to attach mods, low price of ammunition and it's good statistics.
- The Sniper Obokan and the Storming Obokan (Lost Alpha only) are unique variants of the Obokan/AC96/2.
- Ammunition:
- Standard 5.45x39 mm rounds

- Does not need to be upgraded in order to equip a silencer or scope.
- Needs to be upgraded in order to equip a grenade launcher.
- One piece can be found quite soon, in Agroprom Institute in inventory of the military officer.
- As of 1.4005, it features a unique, realistic two-round burst, where it fires two rounds in rapid succession, exceeding the nominal full-auto speed.
- Changes by the v1.4007 PRM Weapons Pack
- Silencer is not attachable.
