Overview
A strange beast that lurks in swampy areas of the Zone. It's a grotesque creature that prowls around on its hands, its lower body a stump without any legs. Due to their lack of humanoid stature and height, they rely on surprise attacks to knock stalkers off their feat and quickly bash in a stalker's skull.
Biology
- Limited to the areas in or around swamps, marshes, and wetlands.
- Gregarious, but not known to stray far from their habitat.
- Unarmoured and easily dispatched with pistol fire.
Notes
- Has the body and world model of the Poltergeist corporeal form.
Uses
- No salvageable body-parts up to and including v1.3003.
- Yields the Swampbeast's nose (from v1.4002+)
Trivia
- The audible cues for this mutant seem to be very similar to those of the Leviathan aquatic monster seen in Magic Carpet 2 but is far less menacing as an opponent.
Gameplay
- Just shoot it a few times. Head is obviously best, but any body shot will do significant damage.
